While the engine was idling it reved up a little bit, and idled right back down (it puffed out a little black smoke when it reved) it did that 4 times in about a minute then it just shut itself off, and now it won't start I'm not sure i can remove the pump with taking the front end loader off which would be a big job!!!! Your fuel rack is probably stuck in the shut off position, happens a lot with those cav pumps, check youtube for video on unsticking mf or ford with cav rotary pump.
I have a Ford 4000 Diesel Tractor 3 cyl. New Cav injector pump installed ran about 16 hrs. Shut
Today we are doing some work on our chamberlain front end loader
The injector pump is leaking badly around the throttle shaft and the stop shaft
It can start back up immediately and repeat the same performance over and over Write down the model/year of tractor, and the model of the cav pump and serial number There are 3 different numbers on my cav pump If your cav injection pump shows persistent problems, it's time to call a specialist
Signs like unusual noises, engine misfires, or fuel leaks need expert attention. Flick that shut off back and forth several times, and crank it a few seconds to see if you get any fuel movement Bleed the two screws above the cav label first If you don't get any fuel out, i think the shut off valve inside is stuck, keep flicking that lever back and forth, leave it on/forward and rap the pump with a screwdriver handle.
Is there any way to release it without removing the pump
