According to centro leaks on x (twitter) who is a pokemon leaker says the pokemon company registered a new subsidiary called pokemon works and is located in the same building as icla which is a game developer this could mean that the pokemon company and icla have set up a support studio to help with future pokemon main line games hopefully this leads to better games!

Game freak moved from the trend of making lots of forms (like megas, regional forms) to instead introduce two new mechanics (the ancient forms and a second new gimmick) as completely new pokémon.
