Valve cover gasket was done 3 1/2 years ago along with front main seal, ofhg was done 2 years ago Over the weekend our apprentice technician had diagnosed an oil leak to be the oil pan and oil filter housing gaskets So that leaves possibility either they are failing, or perhaps vanos o rings

The n52 starts to leak at the oil pan gasket on the right side of the engine in the rear of the block
It leaks there first because the gasket design sucks and hardens over time so it doesn't seal well. I've got an oil leak It's dripping around the passenger's side of the transmission and dripping off of the reinforcement plate I'd call it a pretty slow drip, it seems to have a negligible effect on engine oil level

Also, always diagnose oil leaks by fixing whatever could be leaking up above first
Gravity will cause leaks to travel really far if they originate higher up on the motor, and an ofhg or vcg can easily leave residue that looks like an opg or rear main seal leak I replaced the oil filter cap assembly at the same time.
